MSD Ireland have recently secured permission to develop a new biotechnology facility to replace an existing pharmaceutical manufacturing plant immediately adjacent to the M1 Motorway in Swords, Dublin. The proposed development will increase the gross floor area of the existing facility from c. 31,700 m2 to approximately 43,700 m2, with the creation of up to 350 new jobs.
Working with PM Group, HW Planning coordinated and lodged the planning application following successful pre-planning consultation with Fingal County Council. The submitted application comprehensively addressed all planning policy, environmental and mobility management issues allowing the planning authority to grant permission in 8 weeks.
