Horgan’s Quay

Brought forward by HQ Developments Limited, HQ Cork is one of Ireland’s most significant and exciting urban regeneration projects. Set on 6 acres of land with a rich history and a unique river front setting, the project will restore the site to its former glory as a major transport hub and place it at the heart of modern living in Cork City.

The development will create a new dynamic urban quarter comprising 237 apartments, a 136-bed hotel, 400,000 sq ft of offices, retail, restaurant and leisure uses, complemented with an acre of quayside open plaza. Within this, the project includes focused conservation elements relating to a number of industrial rail buildings, as well significant public realm and public transport connectivity improvements.

Working positively with project partners, including Wilson Architecture, O’Mahony Pike and Reddy Architecture and Urbanism, HW Planning coordinated all planning activities for the application which was granted planning permission by Cork City Council in February 2018.
